Research On Animation Derivatives Based On Emotional Design

With the development of our society,animation derivatives are becoming increasingly popular in China.It is obvious to all that animation derivatives can bring large economic benefit.Furthermore,animation has always been regarded as a sunrise industry.However,with the rapid development of animation industry,more and more issues are emerging including lacking original works,brand awareness and creative talents.These issues have directly led to the stagnation of animation industry.At present,there are many kinds of animation derivatives in the domestic market.However,regarding workmanship or appearance,the designs are scarce of connotation in both the features and symbols.Based on the research of related theories and the analysis of existing products,this paper takes the application of emotional design theory in children's literacy cards as the research object and completes the design of children's literacy cards,a kind of animation derivative.The specific research procedures are listed as follows: at first,this paper puts forward the creative design of children's cartoon literacy cards by the investigation of the existing children's literacy cards in the market.The existing children's cartoon literacy cards lack the further innovative designs on the comic and animation.That's why this paper takes animation derivatives as the breakthrough point and the emotional design theory as the foundation to make researches involved with the related animation theories and other related theories such as child psychology and ergonomics,which lays a theoretical foundation for the design of children's literacy cards.Secondly,this paper demonstrates the development of animation derivatives by looking back on the history of the comic and animation.This paper studies the designs of relevant products and makes investigations and analysis about the existing children's literacy cards in the market by investigating the products of the same kind.Then this paper summarizes the deficiencies in the design of the existing children's literacy cards.This paper puts forwards the advice about the design through investigations and researches.Guided by the relevant theories,this paper draws experience from the design of the products of the same kind and puts forward the design principles and methods of animation derivatives to upgrade the design of children's literacy cards and resolve the problems including the unclear brand awareness and the lack of features and originality.At the same time,these design principles and methods will improve the design of external packing of the cards and the design of every single card.Finally,based on the above researches,this paper proposes the design of “animation plus products”,which optimizes the cards coping plots and roles.This design improves the appearance,typefaces and composition,making the cards more original.Meanwhile,this paper completes the overall design and application research of the children's literacy cards from the perspective of shape and material combing the appearance characteristics of the literacy cards.
