Research On Multi-Function Development Of The Red Flag Canal

The Red Flag Canal is a water conservancy project that leads the river into Lin County in the 1960 s.The main purpose of the construction is to solve the imminent shortage of water resources in Lin County.The benefits of technological advancement are obvious.After more than half a century,the Red Flag Canal not only changed the water shortage of Lin County's “Nine years in a decade is drought”,but also made agriculture,forestry,industry,economy and society in Lin County Development;and with the development of society and economy,more functions of the Red Flag Canal has been tapped.The Red Flag Canal spirits formed during the construction of the Red Flag Canal,and the rich red cultural resources of the Red Flag Canal,as well as the abundant natural landscape resources of the Taihang Mountains.Based on these resources,the Red Flag Canal is used for red education and popular science education.There is also a three-color tourism culture represented by red tourism.In the face of new opportunities,it has developed a special tourism product for the research travel of the Red Flag Canal.This paper analyzes the basic functions of the water conservancy project,cultural and educational functions,and tourism functions of the Red Flag Canal,has discovered with the development of the times,the Red Flag Canal is no longer a single water conservancy project,but also a symbol of the spirit.In order to achieve better development of the Red Flag Canal,the rise of tourism has injected fresh vitality into it,especially through the economic benefits brought by tourism development.It is not only can generate fiscal revenue to invest in the maintenance of the Red Flag Canal,but also can drive the surrounding villagers out of poverty through tourism.It can be said that it is two birds in one fell swoop.However,there are some problems in the development process of the Red Flag Canal.The protection of material culture is insufficient,the canal is seriously damaged,and water resources cannot be effectively utilized.The study of spiritual culture lacks rigorous systematic academic research.The scenic spot development is in the initial stage.The excavation of scenic spots is not deep enough and the management method is relatively simple.In the face of these problems,this paper proposes some solutions,actively carry out technological transformation,establish a protection mechanism,strengthen academic research on the red culture of the red flag canal,increase the development of scenic spots,and develop a variety of business models.All parties work together to make the Red Flag Canal achieve long-term development.
