Study On Landscape Planning And Design Of Mountain Urban Waterway From The View Of Locality

Urban riverfront,as important physical geography and ecosystem components,landscape resources,and urban production sites are an attractive habitat corridor,as well as the carriers of regional urban culture and collective memories.Under the peculiar geographical influence of hilly cities,riverfront have distinct spatial patterns and traffic structures that affect regional lives and spiritual beliefs,and they become a symbol of locality.However,the rapid growth of civilization has been accompanied by an increased in unordered development and construction,whose randomness occupies riverways,blocking their path and creating natural hazards.Traditional hydraulic engineering,which prevents damage from deluges,changes the morphological structure of urban riverfront,and can destroy their ecosystems.Regional disparities are disappearing,space vitality is absent,and the economic,social,and cultural function of riverfront and their ecosystems have been degenerated or destroyed.Thus,the problem of sustainable development in hilly cities requires solutions urgently.Landscape architecture,as the symbol of regional culture,also embodies regional culture in physical environments and the shape of space,as well as the option of exploring the complicated relationship between nature and humanity.Hence,by analyzing local landscape features,we can determine the regional nature and culture features and respond to the requirements of daily life,which is important for establishing a regional sense of identity and emotional resonance.It is also an effective method for exploring the sustainable development of hilly city riverfront alongside the rapid development of civilization.Using an analysis of the natural and cultural elements of riverfront,this paper researches hilly city riverways and extracts the characteristics of riverfront,which “are multi-dimensional spaces,” “bring about adjustments to traffic conditions,” “have multiple lives,” and “are distinct landmarks,” and identifies the current problems as “the deterioration of ecosystems,” “the lack of cultural exposure,” and “the loss of space vitality,” and so on.Using a relatively theoretical basis,this paper established a planned system of hilly city riverfront landscape,which were “the ecosystem construction method using regional intelligence,” “the multi-culture method focusing on historical culture,” and “the public space strategy focusing on local life.” By using the sample of the QingJiang project in Hubei province,I hope to provide a reference to hilly city riverway landscape planning,and an example of theoretical and practical sustainable construction in a hilly city.Under the logic of “problem proposition—theory construction—strategic exploration—case analysis,” this paper contains the following parts:The first part includes chapter 1.Under the background of sustainable human settlement construction,the paper based on the problem of mountainous urban river construction,such as the protection of ecological environment,regional culture continued and to meet living demand,analyzing the theory and practice research situation at home and abroad,and summarize the trends and achievements in this field.Put forward the landscape design strategy locally of mountainous urban river.It is an important way to realize the sustainable development of human settlement environment.Then,clear up the research framework and technical route of the paper.The second part is chapter 2,this paper analyzes mountainous-urban-river locality characteristics which derive from natural environment and human environment,and it further extracted that the river zone has local characteristics,such as multi-dimensional spatial sequence,organize transportation following the topography,variety of life activities and distinctive feature signs.Come up with ‘ecological environment deterioration’,‘culture reveals inadequate’ and ‘space vitality loss’ problems of river landscape,it will provide direction for the next step strategy research.The third part divided into chapter 3 and 4,it is based on relevant theoretical support and practical examples,build local strategic system of the river scenery,for instance,‘ecological construction way of local wisdom’,‘multicultural deductive method based on the historical context’,‘public space activation which make use of local life’,and provide a reference for mountain city riverfront area landscape planning.The fourth part divided into chapter 5 and 6,in the foundation of the preceding study,take the landscape design of Qing River which located in Enshi,Hubei Province as an example,practice and analysis the design strategy of landscape in place.what’s more.This paper briefly summarizes the landscape planning system thinking of mountainous urban riverfront area,describe the shortcomings of current research and the direction of further research.
