| The barrier-free design is an environmental and productive design that removes obstacles for people with disabilities. With the accelerated urbanization,barrier-free design has gradually evolved into a universal design;Target users also expanded from “vulnerable groups” to “everyone”.Previous research on barrier-free design mainly focused on urban construction and living environment, but few on urban parks.Based on the field investigation, this study discusses the current situation of barrier-free environment construction in urban parks.Barrier-free design rules are divided into five categories: plants, roads, water bodies, buildings and other barrier-free elements based on garden elements. The study utilized a questionnaire survey method to analyze the cognitive differences of importance between people with different attribute on the barrier-free facilities in landscape architecture. The conclusions were as follows: 1)People with different attributes all have high recognition for the importance of barrier-free design by T-test.2)People have high recognition of the importance of barrier-free design in landscape elements which can directly relate to themselves and, people more attention to the barrier-free design for safety protection in outdoors.3)There are significant differences in the importance of barrier-free design among people with different attributes,showing(1)Sex: female > male;(2)Age: 30~40 > 18~30 > 50~60 > 40~50 > over 60;(3)Living surrounding: county > city > village;(4)Qualifications : junior college and undergraduate > master’s degree and above > high school, secondary school and vocational school > junior middle school and below;(5)The purpose of go to park: spend time with family > work and study > veg out > exercise > other.By analyzing the cognitive differences of importance between people with different attribute on the barrier-free facilities in landscape architecture, this study provides reference for improving the barrier-free design in urban parks. |
