With power system's operating modes and topology structures getting more and more complex, traditional simulation tools are facing new challenges.Based on shifted-frequency analysis,a novel electromagnetic simulation program is proposed in this paper.Meanwhile, based on PXI and LabVIEW,a real-time simulation platform is set up to implement the proposed program.Firstly, from the aspects of formula derivation and graphics conception, the shifted-frequency analysis technology is analyzed to accomplish the modelling of basic circuit components. Then starting from the circuit equation of DC/AC converter, corresponding equation sets are built to view the converter as a current source to the system.Meanwhile,a flow chart of the algorithm is given upon the framework of EMTP.Secondly, considering the needs of real-time simulation platform, this paper sets the host,PXI and peripheral modules as its main hardware architecture and sets the LabVIEW as its main software architecture. This platform is able to design, analyze and research the real-time simulation of power system. Finally,to verify the algorithm's feasibility on the platform,a typical power system topology and corresponding control is tested with the proposed algorithm on the PXI.Comparing the results with mature business simulation tools, this paper finds that the proposed algorithm is able to accelerate the calculation speed and extend the application scenarios while guaranteeing the accuracy and stability. The SFA technology on the real-time PXI platform has been proved to be reliable and valid when applied to the power system.
