Nowadays,plasma power supply system,composed of a number of modules,is widely used in different area.To ensure the whole system work properly,testing the hardware circuit in each module before the whole system testing is very necessary.However,Off-line hardware testing suffers from low efficiency,high labor intensity and poor universality.Therefore,a hardware testing method with more efficient and more automatic is particularly important.This paper introduces a virtual instrument based universal automatic testing platform,which built to improve the testing efficient and automatic.According to the characteristic of input and output signal of each functional module in the plasma power supply,a typical testing platform based on LabWindows/CVI is generated.The platform consists of two parts: hardware system and software system.The hardware part is mainly responsible for signal pretreatment,excitation signal generation,test signal acquisition,interface standardize.Software system based on LabWindows/CVI completes the human-computer interaction,error diagnosis and testing report generation.The testing platform realized the automatic test of plasma power supply which solves the problems of lower efficiency and poor universality.In the practical application,the rationality and superiority of testing platform is proved.The testing platform can detect 7 different types of hardware circuits in a plasma power supply.The experimental results show that the design of automatic testing plasma of the plasma power supply is simple,user friendly.Besides,the testing platform is work stable and reliable which can be used in the industrial production.
