Study On Using Project Risk Management To Manage Ship Product Design

The ship product design is considered to be how to make a ship.It is closer to actual ship building than other design stages.Statistically,8% of ship product design is error in some shipyards.So usually the shipyard will pay more attention to researching and controlling the ship product design.Project risk management has a mature theory system.It's widely used in finance,large project and so on.This thesis will base on the theory system,consider the ship product design error as risks and build a risk bank.Combine the ship product design process of a shipyard to analysis the errors that happened in the process and their probability and the bad influence to the shipbuilding that caused by the errors.Use probability and influence to class the errors,and find out which factor has more bad influence on ship product design.Finally,according to the classification,find out some way to control and reduce the ship product design errors,so that to reduce the loss that caused by ship product design errors,and increase the benefit of shipyard.
