Under the background of current macro-economic environment,the Chinese manufacturers have to face more challenges because of the new generation’s characteristics in labor market.Considering these situations,this paper studies on the theories of enterprise strategy and human resource management,especially focuses on the theories of strategic compensation management and compensation satisfaction,to summarize and draw on existing theories and methods,and make a clear idea of the way to investigate and analyze.This research has investigated and analyzed the development of Z Company,industry characteristics,and present state of compensation management,interviewed the management and staff,then designed a questionnaire based on these theories and investigations.The research diagnosed problems in strategic compensation management of this company through the data and materials gathered from the questionnaire survey,analyzed the reason and suggested optimization strategies accordingly to adjust the salary level,improve the salary system and set a new goal for strategic compensation management.Finally,this research discussed the necessity and feasibility of the optimization strategies in order to help the company to control labor cost,attract and retain employees,achieve the goal of enterprise development.This research also aims at providing a new case study on applying the theories of strategic compensation management and compensation satisfaction into practice for reference.
