Sponge City is not only the concrete embodiment of ecological in cities,but also the integral part of promoting overall transformation of urban development concept ang the realization of new urbanization.Guided by the Interim Provisions of the Planning Compolation of Sponge City issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China(MOHURD),the general strategy and technical points of the planning compilation of Sponge City was analyzed.Based on the present situation of the urban ecological structure transformation and urban development demands in Jinchang,natural ecological conditions in Jinchang were further evaluated,and the structure of natural ecology was established systematically.The findings and conclusions prkvided the overall objective,technical route,implementing path,planning control,and recent construction emphasis of Sponge City construction in Jinchang,which composed the programmatic document of construction of Sponge City in Jinchang and provided references for the planning compilation of Sponge City in the northwest inland cities and the nationwide.
