| Jiexiu Houtu Temple Buildings in Shanxi Province is a national key cultural relics protection institution.The ancient construction group has a complete layout and large scale.It mainly includes Houtu Temple,Sanqing Temple,Lvzu Temple,Guandi Temple and Tushen Temple,etc.It is famous for its Ming and Qing Dynasties colored modeling and colored glaze.It is also called as The colored glaze museum in Shanxi Province".The buildings were built in different times.Houtu Temple was founded before the Southern and Northern Dynasties and the specific age was unknown.Sanqing Temple was founded in the Yuan Dynasty and was repaired during the Ming and Qing Dynasties;the other temples were all constructed during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The use of large quantities of colored glaze in the Houtu Temple building complex is closely related to the prosperity of the Jiexiu glaze industry.The Jiexiu glaze has a long history of firing.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it reached its peak.At the same time,there were several large families that made colored glaze,of which Hou,Wang,Qiao and Qin were relatively famous.The colored glaze of Jiexiu Houtu Temple is multitudinous and well-made.The author collected all the glaze works and then classified them and the representative works were drawn as line drawings,which more intuitively displayed the shapes,colors,and decorative patterns of the glazed works,and further understood the specific construction methods and decoration methods,which of architectural glaze products of Ming and Qing dynasties in ancient China.Through the study of decorative art of glaze works,it reflects the rich historical and cultural connotations behind it.It is hoped that this research will contribute to the collection of ancient Chinese glaze decorative patterns. |
