Global flight tracking is widely concerned and has been pursued as priorities by ICAO after the disappearance of Malaysian flight MH370.ICAO published operation concept of Global Aviation Distress and Safety System(GADSS).Also,ICAO urge stakeholders to implement aircraft tracking,including normal,abnormal and distress tracking.For abnormal tracking,the rate of the position report is required to be updated from every 15 minutes to every 1 minute as soon as the aircraft is in an abnormal state.An abnormal solution scheme is designed based on the research of the exist flight data transmission technology.And,it can be realized without retrofit on avionics.Firstly,specific specifications and implementation requirements of abnormal tracking are summarized by analyzing the related documents of ICAO and Civil Aviation Administration of China,which provides a theoretical basis for the design of abnormal tracking.Secondly,a real-time abnormal tracking solution based on ACARS is proposed by analyzing the exist flight tracking technique and ground-to-air data link.The trigger mechanism of ACARS position report was redefined in this solution.According to the complexity of abnormal flight state to be monitored,the corresponding trigger logic are defined such as unary logic,binary logic and complex logic.The ACARS position report once every minute is trigged when the flight state becomes abnormal.An exception status report is defined for the corresponding exception events..Finally,with the CMU-900 of Collins,the simulation software GSE was simulated and the simulation unit of the abnormal flight tracking scheme was built.Through the integration of anomaly monitoring module and ACARS simulation unit,an airborne simulation unit is constructed,and anomaly monitoring module's real-time data acquisition module,data processing module and exception parameter processing module are implemented.Several typical simulation verifies of abnormal flight status monitoring and tracking,such as cabin altitude alert,roll angle alert and hover waiting alert,are carried out on the simulation verifies,the position report update frequency becomes 1 minute when monitoring the abnormal state.The verify results show that the proposed abnormal flight tracking and monitoring method is reasonable and feasible,and meets the relevant standards and specifications.The test file verification logic and the run file are generated in the AppBld project file of the GSE,and loaded into the CMU by the ADL.This technology can be realized by upgrading the existing basic database of CMU without retrofit cost.
