Centrifugal impeller is one of the important parts of turbo shaft engine compressor,with thin blades,big twist,small space between blades,difficult for manufacturing and complex surface.Its machining quality and precision directly affects the performance and reliability of engine.Currently,the domestic and international aviation industry generally adopt five axis CNC machining center milling centrifugal impeller blades and flow.With the increasing of thrust-weight ratio of turbo shaft engine,the blade surface is more complicated,leaf numbers increased and channel is more narrow,which leads to milling is the main limited factor to improve the machining efficiency and quality of domestic centrifugal impeller.Striving to explore new process and new method for machining of integrated centrifugal impeller has a great strategic significance.This article is intended to carry on research on five-axis milling processing craft for titanium alloy centrifugal impeller of certain turbo shaft engine.To conduct process analysis on parts structure of centrifugal impeller and surface-type feature of blade and to propose selection schemes for fixture and cutter;To analyze and apply NREC software to achieve blade profile milling NC programming,post-processing and to carry out Vericut simulation;To analyze control instruction of multi-axis NC machine tool and feed speed during five-axis linkage NC milling;To discuss blade machining deformation control measures,optimization method for machining parameter and method and measure for high efficiency machining of blade.Research achievements in this article are as follow:(1)Machining process flows for five-axis NC milling of centrifugal impeller blade and flow channel surface have been studied and process schemes for finish processing of wheel hub hook face and five-axis milling of back chipping have been formed;(2)Milling NC programming and post-processing for centrifugal impeller blade and flow channel surface have been achieved and Vericut software has been applied for carrying out milling simulation of centrifugal impeller.(3)Errors of different milling methods for blade profile milling have been studied;Analysis and research has been carried out on scallop height error which is produced on hub surface of ball-end cutter point milling wheel and control measures have been proposed;(4)Optimization study on feed speed of five-axis milling which is based on full cut depth has been carried out,through practical application,quality and processing efficiency of part machining surface have been improved.
