With the development of economic globalization, increased domestic and oversea market competition, cost control and down are choose by many auto-parts manufacture enterprises to continuously enhance the competitiveness of their products. To keep cost of control,on the one hand, the rate of qualified products were improved through technology upgrading. On the other hand, the number of employees was cut down by introducing automated equipment. In JCYM,recliner is one of the productions matching the selling well vehicles of VW,GM and SAIC Moto. However, such weaknesses as manual operation still exist in,which influence production quality and efficiency. Thus, automatizing the assembly station is significant to the development of JCYM.In this article, the takt time of Lever 1000 assembly line was investigated. Its cycle-time was calculated by Stopwatch and MOD method.Through modeling and simulation, the problem of assembly line was analyzed and diagnosed, which found the key stations in assembly line. After that, the case of modification was designed combined with the knowledge of the mechanical motion.Cylinders,Linear Guides,Servomotors,Linear Actuators and other units were finished selecting.Virtual prototypes of stations were established to analyze their kinematics and dynamics, which proved the correct of selection. Then the improved assembly line was evaluated through modeling and simulation. In the end,two automated equipment of key stations were manufactured based on virtual prototype to reconstruct a new assembly line, which made contribution to enhancing production quality and efficiency, reducing employees' demands of company and accelerating assembly line automation.
