In order to ensure the pavement performance of asphalt mixture,the mixing and construction temperature of traditional hot-mix asphalt mixture is usually above 160 C.A large number of fuel is consumed during this process to remain the temperature.Besides,the asphalt fume produced in the construction pollutes the environment and puts a threat to human health.To solve this problem,a lot of manpower and material resources have been devoted to the research and development of warm mix technology for asphalt mixture.However,due to the problems of technology monopoly and cost,the development and application technology of domestic warm mixing agent need to be improved,and the evaluation method of its performance also needs to be improved.In this paper,a self-developed asphalt warm mixing agent based on surface active technology is studied.Its performance and energy-saving effect are evaluated through laboratory experiments and field tests.The main work is shown as follows:(1)The viscosity reduction mechanism of asphalt warm mixing agent based on surface active technology was analyzed.The mix ratio of warm mixing asphalt mixture was designed and the temperature was tested.The results show that the addition of warm mixing agent can significantly reduce the temperature of the mixture during the process of paving and rolling compared with the traditional construction technology.Specifically,the temperature of warm mix SBS modified asphalt mixture and warm mix asphalt mixture can be reduced by 40~55? and 30~45? respectively.(2)The pavement performance of warm mix asphalt mixture is tested.The results show that with the addition of warm mixing agent,the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture increases whereas the low temperature crack resistance,water stability and the fatigue performance are not much different from those of ordinary asphalt mixture.Nonetheless,all the indexes can meet the specification requirements.(3)The test results of Warm-Mix recycled asphalt mixture show that adding Warm-Mix agent can significantly reduce the mixing temperature of Warm-Mix recycled asphalt mixture,improve the utilization ratio of recycled aggregate,and the compaction performance and various road performance indicators of the mixture meet the requirements of specifications.(4)The results of energy saving test and pollution gas emission test show that warm mix asphalt mixture can significantly reduce fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions.By using warm mix agent,it can reduce fuel consumption by nearly 30% and harmful gas emissions by nearly 70% during mixing process.Besides,it can also reduce asphalt fume discharging in paving by more than 80%.The test results show that warm mix asphalt mixture can significantly reduce construction temperature,save energy and effectively reduce harmful gas emissions.Compared with traditional hot mix asphalt mixture,warm mix asphalt mixture is more economic and environment-friendly.It has great practical value of popularization since its high economic and social benefits.
