As an important part of the urban system and open green natural environment, green space plays an important role in improving the citizens' health.Green space has a positive impact on improving environmental quality, residents' physical and mental health, and the overall health of the city.Enhancing citizens' health is of great significance to improving the living standards and promoting the urban development, and ultimately achieving the strategic goal of “Healthy China”.This paper adopts the methods of big data statistics, questionnaires and laboratory experiments. The health benefits of urban green space were systematically analyzed, and the lag time of green land health benefits was obtained. The differences in benefits obtained by different socioeconomic status groups were compared. The impact of greening inputs on the overall health of residents was calculated and analyzed.Taking three typical cities in China as samples, the residents' cognition of the health benefits of green space was investigated, and the factors affecting the health benefits of green space were further explored.Taking grass and flower planting as the main activity content, effects of horticultural activities on the physical and mental health of different elderly people were explored. The main results are as follows:1 Through the extraction and regression modeling of urban greening data in the National Health Database of China National Family Tracking Survey(CFPS)and the Urban Construction Statistical Yearbook, the health benefits of urban green space are analyzed. The results show that:(1)Urban green space has a significant positive impact on residents' overall health, mental health and physical health;(2)The impact of urban green space on residents' health is lagging behind, and the lag period is about 10 years;(3)The health benefits of green space obtained by different income and social status groups are significantly different, and those with high income and high social status have more benefits;(4)The promotion of greening investment will help to improve the overall health of urban residents. On the other hand, the increase in greening investment has deepened the unfairness of residents' health.2 Questionnaires on the health benefits of green areas in Beijing,Guangzhou and Xi'an were investigated. The results show that:(1)On the whole, residents have a high recognition of the health benefits of green space. It is generally believed that green space has a positive impact on promoting residents' health.Residents' recognition of the mental health benefits of green space is significantly higher than that of physical health and social health.(2)The higher the resident education, the higher the age,the higher the recognition of the health benefits of the green space;the recognition of the health benefits of the green space is significantly higher than that of the male.(3)The distance from the green space to the respondent, the type of the internal site of the green space, and the internal plant community of the green space significantly affected the respondents' overall health benefit scores for the green space.3 Taking the four types of elderly people who are healthy, demented, disabled, and widowed as the experimental subjects, the flower planting is the main activity content. The physiological and psychological indicators are used to measure the impact of horticultural activities on the physical and mental health of the elderly. The results show that:(1)Flower planting activities can significantly improve the mood of the four types of elderly people and improve the mental health of the elderly;(2)The flower planting activity significantly enhanced the diastolic blood pressure and the mean pulse pressure difference of the demented elderly, indicating that the flower planting can enhance the myocardial contractility of the demented elderly and improve their vascular function;in addition, the heart rate of the demented elderly after the activity The ratio of low frequency components to high frequency components of variability decreased significantly, indicating that the sympathetic tone was reduced and anxiety was alleviated.
