Study On The Correlation Of The Environment Of Ornamental Bamboo Forest To Human Psychology

With the deterioration of urban environment and the frequent occurrence of physical and mental health problems of citizens,forest experience is regarded as a way of life for modern urban residents.Forest activities and various environmental factors in forest environment are considered to be beneficial to health.Ornamental bamboo,as an important garden element,has a long and good ecological benefit in Chinese classical gardens.The experience of ornamental bamboo forest is deeply loved by the public,but there is no systematic explanation for the specific influence of bamboo forest environment on human health,especially in psychological aspect.In order to preliminarily explore the impact of the environment on the human mind in the ornamental bamboo forest,the author conducted a 3-days bamboo forest bath experiment,which recruited 120 college students as subjects.60 men and 60 women were randomly divided into four groups,each group of 30 men,includes 15 men and 15 women.The experiments were set up in 4 groups,of which two groups of natural bamboo forests(YB and YA),one bamboo forest park(DJY),and one city control group(CS).The subjects were asked to fill in the Proflile of Mood States(POMS)and the Semantic Differential(SD)questionnaire in the ornamental bamboo forest environment and the urban contrast environment.The evaluation and environmental indicators are studied and analyzed,and the following conclusions are drawn.(1)Subjects had significant differences in the subjective evaluation of bamboo and urban environment.In the sense of sensual,atmosphere,climate,place and space,subjects obtained better environmental experience in bamboo forests.(2)The activities in the bamboo forests have mental health benefits to the subjects.After viewing and walking in the bamboo forest environment,the subjects generally showed in a high positive emotion level and a low negative emotion level.(3)According to the results of SD and POMS of three kinds of bamboo forests.It showed that Yibin natural bamboo foresthas a highest degree of recognition,Ya’annatural bamboo forest has a high degree of recognition,Dujiangyan bamboo forest park has a low degree of recognition.(4)Subjects’ subjective assessment of environment and the total mood disturbance(TMD)in mood state showed different degrees of correlation with environmental factors such as temperature,humidity,radiant heat,wind speed,noise and absolute illumination.(5)According to the results of SD,the environmental sensory factors,atmosphere factors,climatic factors,place factors and spatial factors will influence the subjective evaluation of the environment.The proportion of sensory factors is the highest,reaching 35.75%.The evaluation of bamboo forest environment by SD can provide a reference for the design of the humanized recreation environment of bamboo forest.
