The construction of the urbanization is basic in abundant land served for the city function,which accelerates the process-the expansion of the urban fringe.A mass of the unexploited space being constructed urban sub-center provide the possibility for the mansions and commercial complex,which represents the typical architecture appearing on the urban fringe.The various function of commercial complex play a vital role in the effectively utilizing of resources,optimizing the environment,improving the land value,and satisfying fluctuation of lifestyle in urban fringe.The thesis mainly talks about the object,commercial complex in Beijing urban fringe.According to the analyzing the development process and restrict factors in Beijing urban fringe we could put forward the design principles and strategies after identifying current problems of commercial complex in Beijing urban fringe.Based on the investigation it exists the difference between the commercial complex in urban fringe and the urban center.The commercial complex in urban fringe is limited by demand of the population,development of the city,traffic system and business model.The design of commercial complex should conform to the four principles: creating the diverse urban public space,exploring the commercial function in high dimensions,regulating progressively and flexible the diverse city function and constructing the ecological urban landscape facilities.Commercial complexes should not only efficiently use the resources in urban fringe areas and expand the urban function,but also coordinate with surrounding urban form,and create public communicate places by fully utilizing the entrance,plaza and commercial streets.The traffic system is also need to connect pedestrians and streets,to improve the identity and accessibility of commercial complexes.As the important building in city sub-center,the building form should be considered for the expressive skyline;should coordinate with surrounding fabric to protect the street interface;should meet the city color to coordinate with the urban characters;should be the landmark.Commercial complexes should also improve the environment quality and create cultural and artistic living places by combining with the urban green system,connecting with waterscape and marching landscape decorations.
