Abstract/Summary:
This paper tests the thesis that MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) appears to be producing more urban sprawl rather than addressing the issue of urban sprawl. Atlanta is affected in higher levels mostly because of its high dependency on commuting daily which results in more traffic congestion and air pollution than most other cities.
