Research And Design Of Potentiometer Quality Detection System Based On Labview Platform

The potentiometer is a three terminal adjustable resistance,which has a wide range of applications in audio tuning,medical equipment,automobile,aviation and other industries.With the increasing demand of the market for high precision and high reliability potentiometers,the quality detection of potentiometers is becoming more and more important.However,the performance of the domestic potentiometer quality detection instrument is backward;on the other hand,the similar product abroad is expensive,and the electrical parameters are not fully detected,which needs a variety of equipment for testing.This paper proposes the design of a potentiometer quality detection system based on the LabVIEW software,which has high precision,high sampling speed and including all related electrical parameters.In this paper,six major electrical parameters of potentiometer are determined,including: total resistance,voltage output ratio,terminal resistance,contact resistance variation,equivalent noise resistance,output smoothness.The corresponding testing methods are formulated according to the relevant national standards.This article designs and implements the potentiometer quality detection device from hardware and software systems.For hardware system,servo motor,servo driver and data acquisition card are selected to meet the needs of small size,high accuracy and high sampling speed;at the same time,PCB boards are designed for test circuit and constant voltage / constant current power supply,which provide accurate,reliable and standard sampling data for software system.The software system is implemented by LabVIEW programming software,including system initialization,electrical parameter testing and data processing,database storage and reading,potentiometer specification call and system operation status detection.Finally,this article examples a specific potentiometer product detection to display the function of this system intuitively.The test results show that the potentiometer quality detection device can accurately identify various types of potentiometers whether meet the national manufacturing process standards;the results are accurate and intuitive;the data is comprehensive and can be read multiple times;the system is safe and reliable.As the result,this device can be delivered to the manufacturer and put into the actual production test.
