Electric power as a kind of green secondary energy has been widely used in all areas ofour social production and life.The quantity of electric power has satisfied the demands of ourmodern society.However,the power quality attracts people’s more attention and affects allaspects of the national economy.Poor quality will influence people’s life and work.Then todesign a power quality detection system is important to detect the power quality efficientlywhich has perfect function, high cost performance and which is convenient to use.In this paper, according to the standards of national power quality detection equipment,adata acquisition module is designed and then a power quality detection system based on thevirtual instrument is realized taking LabVIEW as the software platform.The whole system canbe used as a portable equipment for power quality detection and it can also be field mountedto realize the remote on-line power quality monitoring.What’s more,the system can alsorealize the offline data acquisition of electric power quality.Firstly,the data acquisition module is designed to collect the three-phase electrical signaland it can provide reliable and valid data for the further analysis of power quality.The USBinterface is used to make sure that the electric power data could be transferred to theLabVIEW stably and with high speed and it can also realize the pnp.The design of FLASHstorage module can realize offline data acquisition and stored the collected data.Secondly,The PC software is designed using LabVIEW.A good man-machine is builtthrough the design of login interface and main interface.The acquisition module design ofLabVIEW can be used to set the hardware and receive the collected data.The power qualitymeasurement module design of LabVIEW can realize the detailed analysis of power qualityparameters.The FLASH storage module design of LabVIEW can be used to manage theoffline colleted data.Through the Web Server technology of LabVIEW,the remote datamonitoring can be realized.In this way,the client could control the power quality detectionsystem and monitor the data through the browser.Finally,Debugging and functional analysis of the power quality detection system arecarried out successfully.It proves that the system could realize the electric power quality datacollection,the data transmission and data analysis.The system works stably and it is socost-effective that it meets the needs of the market.
