As the core building and node space in the community,elementary school buildings are showing more and more important urban significance.With the improvement of people’s cultural literacy and the emphasis on education,the pursuit of the quality of primary school buildings is much higher than in the past;Under the change of social environment,the design problem of primary school campus has also undergone drastic changes.The design creativity of elementary school architecture in contemporary context requires the attention of architects.This study introduces the conception of design creativity,through the collation and comparative study of primary schools at home and abroad,the source of design ideas and presentation system are summarized.At the same time,I explains the integrity and artistry of design creativity,and derives the definition of design creativity from the source of creativity to the duality of creative presentation,and takes into account the integrity and artistry of the design language.The primary school buildings in Shenzhen have their own development background and characteristics.This paper selects the typical primary school buildings that have emerged every ten years since the reform and opening up in Shenzhen,and analyzes the ideas and sources of the design.I define these four periods with “standardization”,“finalization”,“transition” and “diversification”.Looking at the evolution process from the axis of time,under the impetus of high-intensity large-scale development and utilization of land,absorption of foreign culture,development of building technology,transformation of educational concepts,and climate impact of Lingnan,Shenzhen primary school architectural design has achieved certain results: The teaching space is multi-functional,the interaction of the entrance space,the space of the activity is three-dimensional,and the landscape environment is vertically expanded,shape and structure adapt to regional climate.With the advancement of time,more and more creative primary schools are emerging in Shenzhen.The overall design and creative points are mainly reflected in the “regional” campus that adapts to the climate of Lingnan,the “vertical complex” under high volume ratio,and the behavior-oriented "interactive" campus.At the same time,I summarizes the shortcomings of Shenzhen primary school buildings and puts forward relevant suggestions.In the teaching space,from the closed,lack of display space to flexible,open;on the special classrooms and public activity rooms,from lack of organization to intensive,personality;on the activity space,from monotonous to interesting;on the outdoor environment,from the lack of quality to focus on communication and games;on the external image,from the lack of richness to the diversification of materials and structures.Finally,I proposes several integrated design methods for the development of Shenzhen primary school architecture in the future: the “villageization” campus under large-scale development,the “humanization” campus from the perspective of children’s behavioral psychology,"borderless" campus guided by open education concept,“regional” campus with climate impact.Of course,this is just a few of the creative points of primary school architectural design.I believe that in the future practice,Shenzhen primary school buildings will produce more diverse ideas.
