Study And Improvement On Interface Integration Management For India BTG Power Project

BTG Project mode is named from Boiler,Turbine and Generator.Therefore only major equipment of power plant ie.boiler,turbine and generator and their auxiliary equipment are included in work scope of BTG project.BTG project is a special service product of Chinese thermal power equipment suppliers,directing against Indian market.Actually BTG project is still coming from EPC project concept,while its scope is lessened.System integration engineering,procurement and erection supervision or partial construction are included in BTG mode,covering boiler,turbine,generator and their auxiliary equipment,but difference will exist in the light of different project contract.Due to that more project stakeholder join in the project while project scope being cut into BTG and BOP,more project interfaces appear.In this case,contractor integration management method needs necessary adjusting accordingly.No one BTG project contractor could avoiding facing trouble in handling a quantity of interfaces.Normally all kinds of conflicts between stakeholders will be triggered by certain reasons.And cost,quality and schedule for the project will be influenced adversely.Therefore interface integration management for BTG project should be studied in depth.In this thesis,interface integration management concept was described.Through studying in Indian Sasan BTG project,interface distribution,characteristics and influence factor of BTG project were analyzed in details.Considering problems met in previous similar BTG project,analytic hierarchy process and 80/20 rule were utilized in Sasan project to analyze and find key interfaces for high spot monitoring.Finally,interface integration management was successfully carried out and the project was completed in time.The power plant kept highest record in unit load rate and availability in India market.The result of Sasan project indicated that the method was effective and can be used on other projects.
