| Since ancient times,landscape environment has been an important condition for the formation and development of a city,and also a significant factor for the evolution of urban form.The location and layout of ancient Chinese cities mostly considered the features of natural landscape patterns,forming their own unique urban forms in combination with the shape of mountains and the flow of water.However,with the rapid advance of urbanization in our country,the large-scale and brutal expansion of urban space not only destroyed the natural landscape environment,but also violated or destroyed the original spatial pattern of landscape of the city,leading to a series of problems such as ecological environment destruction,spatial layout chaos,and loss of city scape and characteristics.Under the background of China’s new normal development,the transformation and development of cities needs to re-recognize the value of natural landscape to cities as well as explores a new pattern of urban spatial development that follows the natural landscape pattern.Therefore,it is necessary to deeply research the relationship between urban form and water form.The research on the relationship between urban form and water form has long existed,but most of the previous researches are based on perceptive and qualitative research.The description of the relationship between urban form and water form is still at the superficial level,which lacks the support of rational form measurement techniques and the guidance of scientific form relationship theory.In this regard,the paper takes Wuhan city,a typical riverside and lakeside city,as a sample,uses coupling theory and GIS spatial analysis technology to analyze the evolution characteristics of urban form and water form and their relationship,and further explores the characteristics of the coupling relationship between the two of them,in order to provide a new thinking perspective and theoretical basis for constructing spatial form and style characteristics of landscape cities such as Wuhan city,and to provide a useful supplement for perfecting the landscape city theory.Firstly,the paper uses GIS spatial analysis technology to process the historical map of Wuhan city in 1926,1949,1966,1982,1996 and 2010,extracts the built-up area outline and water system outline of the main urban area of Wuhan city to make quantitative analysis on the urban form and water form respectively through using spatial superposition analysis method.Secondly,historical textual research is made on the evolution of urban form and water form,and the correlation characteristics and mutual influence between urban form and water form are analyzed.At last,based on previous analysis revealed three coupling characteristics of urban form and water form,it reveals the coupling relationship between urban form and water form,summed up the problem of urban form coupled with System Form of Wuhan,and some optimal suggestions are provided for the harmonious development of urban form and water form of Wuhan city. |
