| With the continuous development of information technology and the Internet,the development of new media devices has achieved remarkable results,including virtual reality technology.At present,virtual reality technology has been successfully applied to various industries,such as game entertainment,military field,medical industry,aerospace,interior design,industrial simulation and so on.At the same time,the application potential of virtual reality technology in teaching is very large.It can optimize the presentation effect of teaching materials,stimulate and maintain students’ interest in learning,promote the interaction between teachers and students,improve the quality of classroom teaching,and improve the effect of students’ learning knowledge.In the field of higher education,virtual reality technology can bring new vitality to classroom teaching and class study,and can play an active role in improving teaching efficiency.However,at this stage,the domestic industrial design major focuses on cultivating students’ ability in creativity and practice.In the theoretical curriculum,teachers’ professors generally explain directly and teach in chronological order.Students face the concept of knowledge,are practicing memory,in order to enable students to actively learn,we must enhance students’ learning fun and learning motivation.Therefore,this paper hopes to use virtual reality technology to solve the problems in the teaching process,propose new teaching mode reform,improve students’ interest in learning,attract students’ attention,help students understand the teaching content,and explore new forms of learning.This paper mainly studies the following three aspects.First of all,using literature search,field visits and other methods,fully access relevant literature,research on the current development of virtual reality technology and the application status of various industries,focusing on the application of virtual reality technology in design profession.Visit art galleries,museums and other art-related pavilions to investigate,learn about the new virtual reality technologies used in these venues,and summarize the different ways of using them.Secondly,through questionnaires and interviews,the different needs of teachers and students in the current industrial design history course are investigated,and the results of statistical surveys are summarized to summarize the needs of teachers and students for the use of virtual reality technology in the course of industrial design history.Finally,through the application research of virtual reality technology at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the role of virtual reality technology in teaching and its impact on the classroom,and puts forward feasible suggestions for the application of virtual reality technology in the history of industrial design.Through the investigation and research,the following suggestions are given.First,build a virtual resource library,use virtual reality technology to display learning resources and design works,create a virtual reality environment to make students more sense of substitution,and also make students have a strong interest in learning industrial design history..Second,the establishment of an immersive virtual reality system can visualize some incomprehensible concepts,increase practicality and realism,and strengthen students’ memory of theoretical knowledge.Third,establish a desktop virtual reality system.This system is mainly to promote students’ review after class,provide students with rich learning resources,change the status quo of insufficient learning methods,and provide a platform for accessing professional materials. |
