The power system is an important subsystem of satellite.PCU is the key equipment of satellite power system.It takes on the function of offering bus voltage for satellite and charging or discharging management for batteries.BCR is the battery charging module of PCU,used on charging management for batteries.BCR,as an important module of PCU,has an indispensably function for the satellite's power regulation and energy supply in night mode.The old generation of PCU BCR module is difficult to satisfy the charging power requirement due to its configure.Its weight?power density?reliability and redundant design are not fit for the new generation satellite platform.In addition,it's not very well in battery charge voltage range and charge current precision.According to the BCR technology requirement of the satellite's leading department,This paper has done research for actuality of the PCU,especially BCR module at home and abroad.By contrasting the advantage and disadvantage of each project,containing power topology and control mode,the paper educes design and development scheme of BCR.The paper also analyses key technique of BCR,especially in large duty cycle driving and high precision charge current control ?This paper gives particular design and analysis for power circuit ?controlling circuit?driving circuit?BCM circuit and protection circuit of the new generation of space borne BCR.BCR module was developed,by debugging and testing,all the parameters satisfy the requirement.
