Parts purchasing is a very important part in auto industry and scientific and effective purchasing management could reduce production and operation cost for auto companies,which will bring considerable benefit.With the globalization of auto industry,auto companies are facing enormous opportunities and challenges and the purchasing management of auto companies should make effective control on the purchasing cost and make sure the development of suppliers meet the project schedule at the same time.Nowadays,with the technical improvement of both domestic and foreign automobile companies,multinational auto companies have established comprehensive quality assurance systems and the competitions between auto companies have turned from quality competition into price competition.The most important point for the auto parts suppliers to survive the fierce competitive environment is to build a cost management system,which helps to reduce the cost and strengthen the capability to make money.Therefore,for these auto parts suppliers,how to develop complicated new products in short project cycle time and meet the low cost requirement of the auto companies has become a total new task.Based on the value engineering and project cost controlling theory,the paper makes a deep analysis about the current purchasing situation of NC Auto Company and proposes that the value engineering plays a very important role in parts cost controlling.Then the paper takes the engine anti-vibrator of P32 R vehicle mode,which is a global mass-production mode,as the analysis element and uses the general procedures of value engineering to analyze the function.Besides,the paper also use the ABC Analysis Method,Forced Method,Value Coefficient Method etc.,to finalize the Body Bracket and Support Bracket as the analysis object.After that,the paper uses ABC Analysis Method and value engineering to build a project cost planning and controlling model.In the last,the paper takes the main parts of the engine anti-vibrator as the analysis object and make deep analysis about the resource consumption situation of the process,which presents a conclusion that we should take measures to control the power fee,equipment amortization and labor cost.In the end,the P32 R vehicle engine anti-vibrator project has achieved the nearly 250,000 RMB cost saving.
