Traditional airship landing method lacks good serviceability,with heavy and complex landing devices and poorer buffering effect on the load.In this paper,the buffer airbag,whose design is improved,is used as the landing buffer system of the airship.And the buffering characteristics of the landing and floating process are analyzed by the numerical simulation with the LS-DYNA software.According to the requirements of pitch stability during the airship landing process,the original buffer system is improved from double cylinder airbag to four cylinder airbag with different length.The advantages and disadvantages of different types of buffer airbags including the airbag with fixed vent,the airbag with controllable vent and the combinational airbag are discussed according to the parameters of load overload and internal pressure of the airbag.The results show that too large or too small vent area of the three airbags will all reduce the buffering characteristics,so the optimal value should be selected within a certain range.Among them,the pressure threshold of the airbag with fixed vent will have little impact on the buffering results.The airbag with controllable vent has the best buffering characteristics with complex structure and poor reliability nevertheless.The combinational airbag has good buffering characteristics and provides soft support at the end of buffering.In addition,the effect of air resistance on the landing process is also studied.Based on the numerical simulation of the landing and floating buffer process of the airship with combinational airbag buffer system,the buffering characteristics are studied under different landing conditions.The results show that the larger stress of the airbag is concentrated on the two sides of the airbag.The horizontal speed has little effect on buffering characteristics.When the airship lands at a certain pitch angle,the airbag vent area should be reduced properly to maintain the stability of the buffer process.Through the design and numerical simulation of the airship landing and floating buffer system,the buffering effect and characteristics of different types of the airbag under different landing conditions are obtained,which provide reference basis for the following selection and further research.
