From the perspective of quality management,the quality of product is depend on design firstly,next production,not only detection.Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA)is based on the idea of "prevention".It could analyze,evaluate and improve the product in the new project,avoid or reduce the occurrence of failure,reduce the cost of remedial,improve the quality and reliability of product availably.FEMA is a very good tool in the design work and quality work for the new project of auto part.FMEA includes two types: DFMEA and PFMEA.Both of they have the same procedure: definition function,the mode failure analysis,the failure cause analysis,establish the preventive/detection measure,risk analysis and establish the compensation measures.This article focuses on how to apply FMEA tool effectively in the product design stage and process design stage of the automobile radiator.In the DFMEA stage of radiator,first,collect the design experience of the existing products,use the diagram tool to divide the function modules,analyze the failure mode,the failure consequence,the failure reason and the prevention/detection measure of the radiator,evaluate the risk of failure,establish the compensation measure finally.It could use the quality tool such as dimensional chain calculation,mistake proofing.In the PFMEA stage of radiator,first,collect the quality data of before,hold the quality review meeting to find the key feature of radiator,analyze the failure mode,the failure consequence,the failure reason and the prevention/detection measure of the radiator production process,evaluate the risk of failure,establish the compensation measure finally.It could use the quality tool such as process capability analysis,mistake proofing.Through FMEA analysis of radiator,solve the problem of project timely and effectively,reduce the quality risk,to achieve the target of shorten project cycle,reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction.
