Cement stabilized macadam is widely used in China,its working properties after mixing is related to the performance of the road base.At the same time,?Highway pavement base construction technical rules?put forward higher requirements for the working properties and construction quality of road base materials.In recent years,vibration mixing(VM)technology has appeared,but its effect on the working properties of newly mixed cement stabilized macadam is less studied,so it is necessary to study the working properties of newly mixed cement stabilized macadam under the condition of VM.In this paper,firstly,the digital model of mixing process is established,the defects of compulsory mixing(CM)and the gain mechanism of VM are analyzed.Secondly,by drawing on the definition of the working properties of the newly mixed cement concrete,the working properties of the new cement stabilized macadam is defined.Then a series of working properties evaluation methods are tested,the methods of working properties evaluation are determined.Thirdly,the indoor evaluation tests are carried out to test the working properties of the mixture under CM and VM,and the results of the evaluation tests are confirmed by the results of strength tests.Finally,the working properties of the mixture under CM and VM are tested by the field evaluation tests of the project,and the results of the evaluation tests are confirmed by the results of strength tests.The results show that the performance of the mixture is easy to be constructed is defined as the working properties of the newly mixed cement stabilized macadam,which includes cohesiveness,uniformity and compactibility;the angle rest test is selected to evaluate the cohesiveness of mixture,the segregation test is selected to evaluate the uniformity of mixture,and the static pressure test is selected to evaluate the compactibility of mixture;The cohesiveness of VM mixture is larger,the uniformity is better,but the compactibility is worse;the strength of VM mixture is larger,and the standard deviation and the coefficient of variation are smaller,which confirms the result of uniformity test,and the cohesive strength of VM mixture is larger,which confirms the result of cohesiveness test.
