As Chinese society has entered a new phase in which the urban population exceeds the rural population,more and more cities tend to enhance humanistic care through urban landscape construction.Overpass is an important part of urban landscape,but it increases a sense of indifference to people and causes a problem,that is,different cities look the same.If public art can change overpass into a space that people like to appreciate and get along with,overpass will convert to a powerful public media that communicating city image to the public.The thesis analyzes the developing history of overpass landscape design,and concludes the trend that overpass gradually converts from functional construction to intermediary existence.To realize the effective communication,the thesis expounds the features of media and audiences,then proposes how to choose art form and content to match the media and audiences.In conclusion,the thesis discusses the world-wild trend to integrate art into the infrastructure,and provides the government with some suggestions about how to enhance humanistic care through overpass landscape construction.
