The Design And Research On The “Micro-Reconstruction” Of Guangzhou Pantang Historical Block

The historical block is a distinctive regional culture carrier and a microcosm of urban life.With the rapid development of China's urbanization process,many historical blocks have undergone large-scale demolition and reconstruction to transform the old city,resulting in serious damages to the landscape and a gradual loss of regional characteristics.In recent years,more and more attention from the society is paid to the landscape reconstruction of historical blocks.Meanwhile,the awareness of social and cultural protection has gradually increased.The old city renewal method that of demolishing and rebuilding in the past is no longer accepted by the society.Now a new round of exploration for organic renewal has been started.The way to explore.As one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China,Guangzhou took the lead in proposing a “micro-reconstruction” approach to urban renewal in 2016,and carried out bold practices in the old towns and old villages of Guangzhou.This topic takes Guangzhou Pantang Historic District as the research object and conducts researches in the perspective of landscape reconstruction with the “micro-reconstruction” update method.Firstly,through the analysis and summary of the related concepts and theories on the “micro-reform” of the historical block landscape,a strong theoretical basis for the“micro-reconstruction” design of the landscape of the Pantang block is provided.Secondly,the author conducts field researches in the Pantang block.The author analyzes the existing problems of the landscape of the Pantang block,and discuss the design strategy suitable for the “micro-reconstruction” of the landscape.It is proposed that in the“micro-reconstruction” of the historical block landscape,attention should be paid to the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural heritage.On the premise of protecting the basic texture of the block,carry out "micro-transformation" and renewal design of its street space,public facilities,green landscape and other aspects.In this way,the Pantang Historical District will be promoted to form its own unique landscape features.At the same time,it will inject new vitality into the Pantang Historical District to meet the needs of modern urban residents for spiritual and cultural life.This paper intends to provide constructive solutions for the “micro-reconstruction” design of the Pantang Historical District through exploration.It provides reference for the construction practice and theory of historical blocks.
