Research Of Chinese To English Translation Of Traditional Landscape Commentaries From The Prospective Of Skopos Theory

This paper studies in the improvement of the commentary system in Bayi Park and the innovation of its Chinese-English translation from the perspective of Skopos theory,and seeks for a translation model that can be summarized and categorized,so as to provide some references and suggestions for the Chinese-English translation of Jiangxi traditional landscape commentaries.The main contents of this paper are as follows: first,to study the historical changes and cultural backgrounds of the landscape spots in Bayi Park,and fully understand the history and culture,in order to provide better interpretation services for foreign visitors with full of traditional landscape professional;second,to redesign the commentary system in Bayi Park,which contributes to the translation work latter;third,to refine the method of applying Skopos theory appropriately to Chinese-English commentaries in Bayi Park;fourth,to work out the whole translation system in Bayi Park combined with writer's traditional landscape knowledge;the last,to try to summarize the characteristics of Chinese-English translation of traditional landscape commentary,and to extend the results to the range of Jiangxi province.The main research methods used in this paper are: literature research method,field survey method,comparative and analysis method,inductive and analysis method and so on.The achievements of this paper are as follows: the commentary system in Bayi Park is classified and improved according to the construction requirements combined with the characteristics of traditional landscape commentary system;through the study of Skopos Theory and the book The Translator's Guide to Chinglish,this paper tried to avoid the occurrence of Chinglish as much as possible,and at the same time bands the characteristics of traditional landscape commentary together,and then finds a way to finish the translation work,finally works out the Chinese-English commentary translation in Bayi Park.After working down,some theoretical summaries are made,which are as follows: from the perspective of the target language users,translation should focus on making them understand the explanatory text more easily from their own culture;different expressions of the same garden name should be avoided in translation,and English rules should be followed as far as possible to avoid rigid translation word by word;finally,different landscape spots have different naming methods such as commemorating people or things,describing real scenes or virtual scenes,and setting off emotions,which leads to different translation focus,so as to carry out better translation work.
