In recent years,China's civil aviation transport industry has played an increasingly important role in national life.Local governments have vigorously promoted the construction of airport infrastructure,and the civil aviation transport industry has developed rapidly.With the complication of air transport network,the scale of airports is expanding and the number of airports is increasing.The function of airports has changed from a single transport function to a multi-functional system development stage,such as undertaking the momentum of urban economic development and optimizing the industrial structure of cities.As a high-speed and convenient means of transportation,airport improves regional accessibility,accelerates the spatial agglomeration of production factors,and further promotes the development of local urban economy and the adjustment of industrial structure.However,in reality,due to the lack of relevant research on the relationship between airport and urban industrial structure,it is not clear whether airport navigation plays an important role in promoting local economic development and optimizing industrial structure.Therefore,in the context of economic globalization,as a means of transportation with global connections,the airport has an important scientific basis for the city's economic development,industrial structure optimization and upgrading,as well as the subsequent location of the airport.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research status of airport economic benefits at home and abroad through literature review.Secondly,it deduces how airport navigation and airport scale affects urban industrial structure by mathematical model.From the perspective of spatial agglomeration effect of production factors,it combines relevant theories to analyze the impact mechanism of airport on urban industrial structure.Secondly,it takes airport navigation as a quasi-natural experiment,based on themacro-data of prefecture-level cities from 2001 to 2016,the influence of airport navigation on urban industrial structure is estimated by double difference method,and the dynamic effect of airport navigation policy is further investigated.Then,in order to investigate the difference of airport traffic impact on urban industrial structure in different regions,the regional heterogeneity test was also carried out.Finally,in order to verify the impact of airport size on the heterogeneity of urban industrial restructuring,the heterogeneity test of airport size was also carried out,and the threshold effect test of the relationship between airport size and urban industrial structure was carried out.The research finds that,in general,airport navigation can significantly promote the optimization of urban industrial structure;from the dynamic effect,airport navigation will not immediately optimize the urban industrial structure,and its policy effect has a certain time lag.After dividing the whole country into the eastern,central and Western regions,it is found that airport navigation can only promote the optimization of urban industrial structure in the eastern region,but not in the central and Western regions.From the perspective of airport scale,the larger the airport scale,the stronger the optimization of urban industrial structure,but the smaller the effect.Airport size may not have a significant impact on the adjustment of urban industrial structure.
