At present,the conventional four-step method for urban transit ridership forecasting is widely used.And,the delineation of traffic analysis zone is one of the important factors affecting the accuracy of each process of the four-step method.As the basic analysis unit of traffic forecasting model,traffic analysis zone is used to describe the starting and end points of trips.At the same time,it also contains the social-economic attribute information such as land use,population and jobs,and is an important carrier of basic data in tranportation planning studies.However,in the spatial data analysis process,the modifiable areal unit problem usually has an uncertain effect on the results.In the conventional traffic model,the collection and analysis of survey data mainly relies on administrative zoning.In oder to meet the data needs,traffic analysis zone delineation are mainly based on administrative zoning and ralated partitioning priciples.With the gradual inprovement of the urban transportation system,some stations of the urban rail transit are located at the edge or boundary of traffic analysis zones,traditional traffic analysis zones are difficult to reflect the changing travel characteristics of urban inhabitants.And,the rich and diverse urban big data,breaking through administrative zoning restrictions,are more suitable for urban spatial analysis based individual travel patterns.Based on the above background,this paper takes public transportation smart card data and public transportation network GIS data as the support,based on the principle of traffic analysis zone delineation,and focuses on how to construct the traffic analysis zone delineation objective function and constraints based on the above data,and how to use the constructed objective function and constraints to form the aggregation model in the research area to partition the traffic analysis zone and how to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of traffic analysis zone delineation scheme based on aggregation model.Firstly,this paper reviews the relevant information on the public transportation smart card data and traffic analysis zone delineation,and summarizes the research domestic and overseas on the field of smart card data and traffic analysis zone delineation.Through the interpretation of the relevant literature,it draws relevant knowledge,theory and research methods,and compares and analyses the existing problems and shortcomings,and forms the research ideas of this paper.Then,starting with the definition of traffic analysis zone,this paper discusses the problem of information loss in the process of traffic analysis zone delineation,and analyses the impact of traffic analysis zone delineation on traffic demand modeling,expounds the guiding principles that need to be considered in the process of traffic analysis zone delineation,and discusses the modifiable areal unit problem(MAUP)in the process of spatial data discretization,and finally this paper puts forward the principles to be considered and the objectives to be achieved in traffic analysis zone delineation under the constraints of existing data.Secondly,the smart card data are cleaned,matched and merged,and network topology and spatial data are discretized.Based on the above discretized data,the input data of traffic analysis zone aggregation model is calculated,and the aggregation rules and preliminary screening principles of traffic analysis zone delineation in this paper are introduced.Finally,the objective function and constraints of traffic analysis zone delineation are constructed based on the principle of traffic analysis zone delineation.Finally,based on the above research basis,the aggregation process of different traffic analysis zone delineation schemes is formed,and the optimal traffic analysis zone delineation scheme is selected through the macro-micro indicators of the traffic analysis zone,in order to further verify the advantages and disadvantages of the traffic analysis zone delineation model based on the research,the optimal traffic analysi zone delineation scheme is compared with the traffic analysis zone in the Fourth Ring Road of Beijing in 2008 and 2010.Based on the research of bus smart card data processing and traffic analysis zone delineation,this paper uses the ArcGIS platform and Python programming sofeware to realize the delineation of traffic analysis zone.And the verification is carried out,which proves that the method proposed in this paper has certain advantages.
