With the continuous progress of social sciences,new media art is also experiencing rapid growth.As a new medium of artistic expression,new media itself is different from traditional art in form,which makes it popular in the new era.Since the 1960s,many international art Biennials and expositions have begun to use new media art as a way of artistic display.Artists have turned to the creation of new media art,and new media art has gradually appeared in urban public space.Nowadays,more and more attention has been paid to the role of new media art in the beautification of urban public space.This design is based on the project content of the tutor "Research on the Application of New Media in Beijing Public Space" and the relevant theoretical basis.Through the form of design practice,it demonstrates the theoretical results of the application of New Media in Beijing Public Space,making the theoretical research results more intuitive.Through the study of existing theories and examples,this paper puts forward innovative ideas and design practices for the application design of new media in public space.This paper discusses the previous research and analysis,design orientation,design scheme and concrete realization of the project.The first chapter introduces the purpose,significance and background of the design study in detail.The second chapter explores the methods of shaping city image by new media art from two aspects of function and form,and collects representative new media art designs in public space at home and abroad.The third chapter analyses the site selection and design conception of the design,and analyses the potential needs of different users through the subdivision of user groups.Finally,it puts forward the basic direction of the design;carries on the design work with pertinence;the fourth chapter draws the final design plan concurrently.Detailed description,in-depth analysis of solid modeling and virtual interaction;Chapter V of the design and implementation part of the design into the specific implementation rules.The final design scheme is a new media interactive device of body-feeling game,which combines sculpture device modeling,body-feeling game interaction and waterfall landscape to form a complete interactive device.Participants get their own unique clothing photos and open fountains as game feedback through the interaction of body-feeling game with the device.The device is designed to attract the flow of people and promote regional economic consumption,enhance the overall image and popularity of Beijing Square Business District,and promote traditional culture to stimulate the interest of urban residents in traditional culture.Interactive device design has its own interesting characteristics,which can bring participants richer urban cultural experience,enhance the interaction between urban space and residents,so as to create a good image of the people-friendly city in the hearts of the citizens.
