Continuing The City Memory

With the rapid development of social economy,a large number of industrial production bases in cities became the industrial wasteland nowadays,and most of the industrial sites occupying the superior geographical position of the city were left idle for a long time,which led to the dilapidation of the site interior and wasted the advantages of environment and architecture,which was not conducive to the city to create a beautiful image and disseminate culture.Therefore,textile and textile articles were carried out for the Third National Cotton Mill of Zhengzhou.It is also imminent to protect,improve and optimize the space environment and create a good urban cultural atmosphere.The purpose of this paper is to find out the feasible strategies for the transformation of the third cotton mill into a cultural and creative park by investigating,analyzing and discussing the historical development,site status,surrounding environment,regional culture and social economy of the old site of the third cotton mill in Zhengzhou.Through the use of modern landscape design techniques to protect old buildings,update abandoned industrial facilities to inherit traditional culture;to follow the concept of green ecology to optimize and integrate the overall landscape environment;to integrate textile industry culture and urban regional culture to foil the artistic atmosphere of the site.This paper demonstrates and explains the feasibility design of reconstructing Zhengzhou Guomian No.3 Factory into a cultural and creative park,and explores its design method,and finally puts forward a detailed design plan.Seeking a balance between "old" and "new" can not only preserve the industrial sites of the city to the greatest extent,but also keep pace with the times,inject new vitality into the old factory,and better continue the memory of the traditional culture of the city.
