The protection and development of historical blocks have already become an important part of urban development.Compared with the mature protective development mode abroad,the historical blocks in China are still in their infancy.This design hopes that by analyzing the successful renovation examples of foreign historical blocks,the old houses of the former Soviet Union residential buildings in Wanbailin District will be designed and renovated,including the adjustment of the internal use function of the interior space,the dynamic line planning,and the intelligent intervention of science and technology,etc.,so as to adapt the aging design and renovation to the former Soviet Union residential buildings,change the living conditions of the residents,and create a comfortable and warm living environment for the residents.The reconstruction and exploration of the residential space of the former Soviet-style residential buildings,which is too heavy,is to respect Taiyuan's history and culture,explore the past and create the future.The protection and renovation of residential space in historical blocks bring fresh vitality to historical blocks.Through the design and renovation of the former Soviet Union's expert building,the original layout of the interior is to be demolished and renovated to integrate history with modernity.It is hoped that through this design,the old house will be transformed into a design that not only meets functional requirements and conforms to human engineering,but also integrates aesthetic elements.Through the research on the style design of the residential space in the historical blocks which are too heavy,the historical blocks have become the characteristic blocks in modern urban life.
