Fatigue as a modern civilization disease is all around us,many scholars and researchers have a deeper understanding of it.It is found that HRV signal has high practicability and applicability in monitoring driving fatigue. However, there are no similar researches and explorations in the process of exercise fatigue monitoring. Therefore, the feasibility and applicability of reaction time and heart rate variability in the monitoring of exercise fatigue are discussed in the laboratory, and some new methods are provided for this study. In this paper, five subjects were selected and five groups of response time data and ECG data were collected during exercise. The ECG signals were filtered by Bandpass and Butterworth, and R waves were detected by differential threshold method. The RR interval sequence with high precision is obtained, that is,HRV signal. In the paper, the relationship between reaction time and calorie consumption was discussed firstly. It was found that with the physical output of the subjects and fatigue accumulated, the reaction time decreased first and then increased.Secondly, through the analysis of the MEAN(RR interval average),the SDNN(standard deviation of the RR interval),the rMSSD(root mean square of the difference between adjacent RR intervals)and the frequency domain indicators in the HRV time domain indicators during the exercise process.LF(low frequency power)and HF(high frequency power). It was found that with the continuous consumption of physical fitness of the subjects:MEAN and SDNN were significantly reduced, and MEAN and SDNN tended to be gentle as the subject's physical state reached"exhaustion",indicating that MEAN and SDNN can effectively reflect the degree of exercise fatigue. With the deepening of fatigue, the rMSSD index decreased continuously, and the slope of the first half was large, the slope of the second half was small, which indicates that the parasympathetic nerve of the subjects had high excitability at the beginning of the movement. The excitability of parasympathetic nerve tends to be stable when the state of extreme fatigue is reached.LF increased significantly(P<0.05)and HF decreased significantly(P<0.05),which indicated that sympathetic nerve activity was increased, vagal nerve activity was weakened, and tended to be stable during extreme fatigue.According to the analysis of the experimental data and the subjective evaluation of the body state of the subjects,it can be concluded that the reaction time and HRV can be used as the detection means to evaluate the exercise fatigue, because it can accurately tell whether the exercisers are tired or not.The application of response time and HRV in exercise fatigue monitoring has a broad prospect in practice and research.
