Abstract/Summary:
Bismaleimide(BMI)resin matrix composite is an extremely important high-temperature and lightweight structural material,which has been widely used in the heat-resistant main load-bearing structure of F-22,J-20 and other advanced aircraft such as skin,frame and beam.Due to limited by forming process and the impact toughness,traditional avionics BMI resin matrix composites long-term service temperature below 230℃.In response to the latest demand for the development of aerospace vehicles,in this paper,the properties of X-1101 BMI resin and the best forming process of unidirectional laminated plate of T700/X1101 BMI resin matrix composite and the fourth generation Fiber metal laminates(FMLs)-TC4/T700/X1101laminated plate were explored based on the above objectives.Firstly,the curing exothermic peak of X1101 BMI resin was measured by non-isothermal DSC(differential calorimetry scanner)to determine curing temperature.Isothermal dynamic thermal mechanical analyzer(DMA)tested the corresponding gel time(tgel)of 150℃and 180℃.The molding process of X1101 BMI resin was determined according to curing temperature and tgel.Then,the forming process,molded at low-temperature and used at high-temperature,was researched without affecting the excellent performance of X1101.T700/X1101 laminated plate corresponding Tg of laminated plates is 340-360℃under the optimum low temperature forming process.Although the low-temperature molding sacrificed the heat resistance and service temperature of the composite material,improve the mechanical properties that the interlaminar shear strength increases by 28.5%and the bending strength increases by 25.5%and balance the temperature,toughness and molding process.The forming technology of TC4/T700/X1101 BMI resin base fiber metal laminated plate was explored based on the best molding technology of T700/X1101.Selected high temperature resistant X1101 BMI resin and titanium alloy TC4 explored the impact for molding process and performance of it,layer sequence:TC4/[0°]4/TC4/[0°]4/TC4,under the four kinds of surface treatment schemes and determined the optimum molding process.
