LFT-D (Long-Fiber Reinforce Thermoplastic- Direct) was online compression molding technology, which was based on thermoplastic resin and long glass fiber as reinforcing material with thermoplastic composites, was widely used in automotive field. This paper takes LFT-D production line on a well-known automobile enterprise as the background, researched on compression molding,taking the natural gas bottle cover as object, to solve its quality problems by CAE software and MATLAB software to simulate and optimize the molding parameters based on the results of simulation and analysis.Firstly, LFT-D process and production equipment was introduced in detail taking the natural gas bottle cover as object,according to the scene investigation of the product quality, and analyzing the defects of procession molding in LFT-D.The clamping process was simulated with ANSYS POLYFLOW, the flow velocity and pressure distribution of molding material in the cavity of the mold was obtained,and the influence of different process parameters on the forming was analyzed.Secondly, mold die was designed according to the characteristics products, the temperature field in the process of heating in the mold was applied with ANSYS WORKBENCH, the best heating time of the die at the temperature range of the theory was obtained and the improvement method of die was raised in terms of the burning of products.Optimization theory of molding process parameters were designed scientific, reasonably, correctly. By application of Taguchi experimental design method, process parameters were optimized, and then by orthogonal test data as sample data,the relation of process parameters and warping deformation was built by BP neural network, combined with genetic algorithm to optimize the BP model, and the global optimal process parameters were obtained.
