The Primary Study On Systematic Architectural Design Of Industrialized Bamboo

In the meantime of creating civilization,the human engagement with building also exerts profound influence upon the natural environment,to which the choice on natural materials bears a deeply ecologic and sustainable significance.Though abounding in China,the local bamboo industry has stranded in development due to absence of application in large scale.Therefore,industrialized bamboo as a building material points an optimal path out for the bamboo industry.Systematic building means incorporating the whole course from prefabrication in the factory to modular construction into an integrated system under modern industrialization conditions,featuring systematic design strategy in large scale while lessening manual labor,in situ construction and pollution.Systematic building differs from ordinary architecture in three features:modular application,prefabrication of components and emphasis on construction.so far as the known systematic construction design goes,Zhu Jingxiang and Jean Prouve’s work is selected to analyze and summarize for ideas and methods.This study attempts on building integration under both material and construction system conditions,respectively embodied in industrialized materials and systematic building.The trio is almost a perfect match as to laws of industrial development and need in large-scale application,which is highly likely to herald remarkable development once combined.Clarified in research,applied in practice,the industrialized bamboo anticipates such expansion as to end its chronic stagnation in building industry.The systematic building of industrialized bamboo requires specific integration from both the material and the construction system.The former means its own material characteristics and production and processing rules necessitates according exploration in joint structure and structural form in accordance with the material.While the latter emphasizes upon integration of the various subsystems within along with material properties of the industrial bamboo.Industrialized bamboo building system features in its diminutive structural section in the first place,aligning with the material property while facilitating production and construction.Through researches into the minimal section,this study proposes a small section system for possibilities of application to test with practical cases.The whole thesis contains about 32000 words,44 pictures and charts.
