| Viaduct,as one of the constituent elements of modern urban substantial space,undertakes important transportation function of a city.What’s more,the visual quality of viaduct,due to the particularity of the viaduct’s shape and spatial location,has a significant impact on both the overall image of a city and the psychological feeling of its residents.With respect of current development of our country,viaduct in large and medium sized cities,as an important means to solve urban traffic congestion and effectively utilize urban space,has become more and more popular and has exerted great influence on both urban space and urban lifestyle.Passing efficiency and safety of viaduct usually get much attention during the design and construction process of a viaduct.However,a viaduct can be regarded as a destroyer of urban landscape and street aesthetics due to the lack of overall and in-depth consideration of how to coordinate itself with its surrounding space.Therefore,how to effectively improve its comprehensive quality of function,environment and space needs to be studied.Taking the urban space along the elevated road of Jinzhai Road in Hefei as the main research object,this paper,combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods,focuses on studying the main influencing factors and improvement methods of Viaduct visual quality.Through qualitative methods,the paper analyzes the components of Viaduct as well as the difference of visual experience between pedestrian walking and car driving so as to establish the visual evaluation system of Viaduct.Furthermore,quantitative methods,such as the SD method and the spatial syntax)are used to quantify both the psychological perception of a visual experiencer and the characteristics of the Viaduct.Combined with statistical analysis methods such as cluster analysis,regression analysis,and correlation analysis,the paper,on the one hand,explores the level of perceptual evaluation of Viaduct and,on the other hand,derives the relevant object indexes that affect the psychological feelings of experiencer,as well as their influence coefficient and critical values.Finally,the visual quality optimization suggestions and design strategies,based on the above analysis results,are proposed for the Viaduct under different construction conditions. |
