Study On Canal System And Settlement Landscape In Yaojiang River Valley

The Zhedong Canal is the southeastern origin and an important part of the Grand Canal.The Yaojiang section of the Zhedong Canal relies on the Yaojiang Natural Water System to communicate the Qiantang River Basin and the Lancang River Basin.It has become an important link between Ningbo and Shaoxing,and has long development history and distinctive regional characteristics.The local landscape of the Yaojiang River Valley,especially the formation and evolution of the canal system and the settlement landscape,fully demonstrates the interaction between people and the environment,reflecting the impact of canal development on the construction of natural landscapes and human settlements.This paper takes the canal system and settlement landscape of Yaojiang River valley in Zhejiang Province as the research object,and tries to analyze and study the relationship between the two from the perspective of landscape architecture.This paper synthesizes a variety of research methods to analyze the development history,operational mechanism,landscape characteristics of the canal system in the Yaojiang River valley,the evolution of the traditional settlement landscape,the spatial pattern,the landscape and the relationship between the two,and the relationship between the two is the Yaojiang River Valley.Provide a basis for the protection of canal heritage and the localization of landscapes,specifically:First,comb the historical evolution of the Yaojiang section of the Zhedong Canal;Secondly,in-depth study of the canal system and settlement landscape in the Yaojiang River valley area,and explore the correlation between the two;Then,four typical settlement samples were selected to sort out the process of traditional urban landscape evolution,analyze the characteristics of traditional urban structure and the relationship between landscape and landscape,and analyze the internal relationship between settlement and canal system;Finally,the paper discusses the impact of new urbanization on the canals and traditional settlements in the Yaojiang River valley in the context of urbanization,and provides ideas for the protection and transformation of the local landscape in the study area.
