Preliminary Study On Landscape Design Of The Mountain Cemetery

China's urbanization process leads to dense population,land resources shortage,urban environmental pollution and a series of urban problems,which result in the public cemetery in the city moving to the the hilly mountain of outskirts gradually.This paper takes mountain cemetery landscape design as the title,to explore mountain cemetery planning and design strategies.Cemetery provides a place to bury the dead and express memorial,which reflects a region's cultural practices and the concept of life to a certain extent.The construction of the cemetery abroad already have advanced concept and scientific planning methods,on the contrary,the design level of our country still needs to be improved.There are two aspects of problem:first,traditional concept of the funeral hinders the development of the cemetery career,the backward traditional customs and contradictions between scientific planning;second,the study of cemetery planning and design based mountain is less,mountain cemetery construction is lack of experience.Regarding the words above as the issue background,this paper explored the planning and design points of mountain cemetery.Firstly,this paper introduced theories and practices related to the funeral culture and the cemetery planning and design,based on that,development status on cemetery at home and abroad was summarized,the existing problems in mountain cemetery construction of China was discussed.Secondly,this paper summarized and combined the tactics and measures on the mountain cemetery planning and design from site selection,general layout,traffic system,function partition,cemetery construction and plant landscape six level.Thirdly,this paper studied some overseas and domestic cases.The above research results are applied to plan and design Hubei province Suizhou city Wanan cemetery.In the end,we summarized the paper and put forward the direction that need to be further studied.
