Design Of Monorail Vehicles Overall And Transmission System For Mountain Transportation

Forest is a precious natural resource for human being.One of the main utilizing of forest resources is designing and creating the reasonable transportation plans.The existing poor mountain monorail transport vehicle layout causing the poor balance,incompact vehicle structure and unstable while vehicles operating;vehicles will loss the ability of climbing when the slope of actual operation is greater than the slope in design,due to the effect of brake;furthermore,the huge volume and weight of reducer,which is not easy to move,and also decreases the efficiency of transportation.This paper concerned about the monorail vehicles overall and transmission system for mountain transportation.According to the domestic and foreign studies,some deep researches about utilizing acquirement and main problems could be done relates to the mountainous monorail vehicles.Based on the results of researches,according to the original data,the requirements of operation and weight balance of such vehicles,the power and transmission ratio in this system could be calculated.The engine design was created based on the calculation before,the specific calculation and diagram of transmission system could also be determined.After the comparison of characteristics in several typical reducers,the planetary gear reducer could be a reasonable choice due to its reverse self-locking,less weight/volume,good mechanical treatment and high efficiency.After that,the geometric model of reducer parts could be created by Solidworks,accompanied with the interference analysis and virtual assembly.The static analysis for the eccentric axle and the pair of gear as well as modal analysis for the box could be given from ANSYS.The CAXA software could be used for assembly diagram and parts diagram drawing.According to the selected engine,the design of the reducer and the dimensions of driving wheels,and carriage,the overall layout need to be determined,in order to keep the structure compactability,weight balance,and the feasibility of installation.
