If a car is compared to a human body,the harness of the car is equivalent to blood vessels and nerves.Its function is connecting the various electrical equipment of the vehicle to transmit electricity and signals.With the development of modern automobiles and the progress of science and technology,automobiles have gradually entered the homes of ordinary people from luxury goods.At the same time,due to people's yearning for and pursuit of a better life,the requirements for comfort,safety and reliability of automobiles are increasingly stringent.In order to meet the relevant needs of drivers and passengers,more and more electrical equipment came into being,accompanied by the geometric growth of automobile wiring harness.How to optimize the design of automobile wiring harness has become an important part of automobile design.The design of automobile wiring harness basically follows the process of power distribution,ground distribution,drawing schematic diagram,wiring harness layout,drawing wiring harness diagram,drawing assembly diagram and so on.For the specification of wiring harness design,there are no clear laws and regulations in various countries and industries.After completing the design of engine,chassis,body and electrical components,manufacturers of various countries and brands have formed their own standard documents according to their own design habits for many years,designed the basic wiring harness,and cooperated with test departments to optimize and improve the design of wiring harness.The automotive electrical system uses low-voltage DC power supply,which consists of two power sources,storage battery and generator,and is connected in parallel to supply all electrical equipment,and all electrical equipment is also connected in parallel with the two power sources on the vehicle.Most automotive circuits conform to the form of single-wire connection and negative-pole ground.That is,only the positive connection wire is connected with the positive pole of the power supply,while the negative connection wire is directly connected with the metal such as the body and engine through the wire harness,and finally with the negative pole of the power supply,so the ground connection is also called grounding.The design of negative ground not only reduces the consumption of conductors,thus lightening thebody,thereby reducing fuel consumption and improving the economy of the car,but also reduces the interference to electronic devices,reduces the corrosion to the frame and body,and makes the automobile electrical appliances work more reliably than the positive ground.Therefore,a good grounding point design can reduce the circuit damage caused by bad ground,thus reducing the failure rate of automotive electrical appliances.Through summarizing the requirements,principles and processes of automotive wiring harness design,the paper optimizes the wiring harness design process,and focuses on improving the grounding design scheme with fault examples.Through comparative analysis,the paper improves the distribution of ground points,grounding wire connection,grounding terminal design and grounding installation process.
