Research On The Transformation Of Korean Traditional House By Modern Architectural Design

Under the backdrop of "Global" modem context,cultural communication of all countries has been unprecedented.Coming along with this,global cultural and artistic designs and life styles are tending to be convergent.The convergence of urban construction is shown in the modem western urban architecture which is adopted by the whole world.China,Japan and South Korea were forced to open their doors to the outside world.They were either passively or initiatively influenced by occidental architectural cultures.A fault of national construction then happened in the three countries.This brought a common project to the architecture sectors of the three countries:that is how to make a transition in design in the irresistible trend to inherit their national traditions and concepts while adapting to modem life.The article makes the architecture of Korean nationality as the object of study.During the composition of the article,related literatures from home and abroad were collected and analyzed.And the author visited more than one Korean architects and leaned about the different understandings on how to inherit Korean traditional construction.The article analyses the relationship between architecture and nationality,the comparison of the nationality features over architecture among the three countries and concept structure and the features of traditional Korean architectures.Then the article makes a conclusion on the directions of design transition of in modem time.That is the combination of traditional and western elements,the nation's traditional culture demonstrated on architecture,abstract expression of traditional architecture elements,and the seeking for meeting points with traditional ways of life.Correct architecture culture make no a duplication of the appearance and forms of tradition,but makes an in-depth understanding of the concepts and spirits in the construction.That is the simplicity,special hierarchy and the reflection on the concise design to fit modern design.And such concepts and spirits will be the foothold of architectural culture inheritance.
