In electromechanical engineering,the proportion of materials in total cost is usually 70% to 80%.Therefore,construction companies want to reduce engineering costs and improve overall profitability.The most important thing is to effectively analyze,control and manage materials throughout the project.In the traditional material management,it often relies on process management,and does not consider the whole process cycle of the project,especially the bidding phase of the project.Due to the lack of objective evaluation criteria and dependence on the intuition and experience of managers,there is no efficient and convenient material analysis system for reference.It is non-avoid-certain management risks.In this paper,we discuss how to construct a more efficient and convenient material analysis system for better reference in project material management with experiences from seven of my projects for the past six year.Suzhou Xiangcheng Tianhong Plaza project and the relocation of Suzhou Fifth People’s Hospital Engineering,Wujiang Minhua Furniture Headquarters Complex Fire Fighting Project,Suzhou Rail Transit Line 3 Engineering Station Electromechanical Installation and Renovation Construction Project(SRT3-12-1 Standard),Suzhou Wuzhong Taihu New City Pipe Gallery Installation Project,Changshu Southern New City Commercial plaza installation project(AEON MALL),Jingao Vietnam Co.,Ltd.1.5GW ingot,pull crystal,and slicing project electromechanical general contracting.First of all,we summarize the characteristics of material management.The possible factors affecting the cost of materials are analyzed.The applicable classification and evaluation methods are selected by analyzing,calculating and comparing the application possibilities of multiple data classification methods and multi-factor comprehensive evaluation methods.Through the collation and revision of the data,we determines the evaluation steps of the important material items and the comprehensive index of the project materials,and clarifies the innovation and guiding significance.Nowadays,it is the information age,the so-called "Thinking by Computation,Speaking with Data".The goal of this research is to improve the method of material management of electromechanical engineering,by constructing an objective data as a guide in the material management.The material analysis system can effectively control the cost risk not only in the bidding stage,but also in the material management of the entire engineering stage.The research results of the project material management can not only play a certain role in the cost control and profit improvement of individual projects,but also provide some ideas for the construction project cost reference system and database establishment,and it has practical significance in project management.
