On The Public Space Design Of Commercial Pedestrian Mall

With the development of city construction,cities in China are becoming more and more multifunctional and their area sizes larger and larger.Commercial zone,as one of the most important ways of exhibition,shows the prosperity of a city and provides the venue where people go to shop or take a rest for entertainment.Now the design of public space for commercial streets is getting more and more attention of people from all the fields.Ever since 1990s,a large number of commercial streets have been built in many cities of various provinces.They make people's life convenient,enrich the urban landscape,improve people's living standard,and enhance the city image.However,with the development of the society,some problems have been exposed with these commercial streets,the reasons for which are quite many.This paper intends to approach the landscape design by analyzing one of China's famous commercial streets,Tianjin Binjiang Road Commercial Pedestrian Mall.Based on an on-site investigation,the analysis and evaluation is made and their problems are covered.Then a suggestion program is provided according to the successful cases of foreign countries,whose advantages are concluded.The research is of referential value for China's construction and improvement of commercial streets in the future.This paper is divided into seven chapters:the first chapter is the introduction part,is Including the purpose and significance of research,the research category,review about theory.The second chapter is a ease study by the transformation of the background famous eommercial pedestrian street,the status quo after the transformation,the transformation successes were analyzed and summarized,summed up the principles of modem commercial pedestrian street reconstruction.Tianjin Binjiang third chapter is the introduction of commercial pedestrian street,look at the changes and the background of the historical development in Tianjin.The fourth chapter is the current situation through field visits Tianjin Binjiang Road Pedestrian Street description.The fifth chapter is composed of various elements from the commercial pedestrian street,combining classic cases and theoretical studies at home and abroad,for the design of the pedestrian street Binjiang conduct a comprehensive analysis and evaluation.The sixth chapter is based on analysis of previous chapters,to B:injiang walking street reconstruction proposals put forward in nature.Chapter seventh is the full text of the epilogue,is a summary of this study,for the construction and renovation of urban commercial pedestrian street of some of the thinking and outlook.
