A Comparative Study On The Decoration Of Traditional Residential Buildings In Boyan Town And The Official Practices In Qing Dynasty

Architectural decoration is an extremely important part of the architecture of any era.The decoration of the building embodies the characteristics of the construction skills,social and cultural ideology,aesthetic orientation,etc.,even in the same period,because of its geographical location,its natural environment and the class it serves,there are also great differences.These exquisite or elegant or rugged architectural decoration components precipitate the living habits,folk customs and environmental characteristics of different regions and ethnic groups,reflecting the context of social development and historical culture.Due to its special geographical location and natural environment,Boyan Town has formed its unique architectural form and architectural decoration style,which has great research value.This topic takes the traditional residential buildings of Boyan Town and the official architectural decoration of the Qing Dynasty as the specific research objects.Based on comparative analysis,computer simulation and modeling methods,a large amount of literature and detailed research data such as field photography and measurement have been collected.Based on the theory of typology and the method of classification and induction system,this paper summarizes the plane form and courtyard layout type of traditional residential buildings in Boyan Town,as well as the decorative features of many architectural details such as roof,door and window,column foundation,bofeng plate,and Finch.Based on the above research results of the traditional residential architecture decoration in Boyan Town,through the comparison method,it explores the existing Qing Dynasty official architectural decoration practices such as the Beijing Forbidden City and Shenyang Forbidden City.And the similarities between some of the relevant provisions on building decoration in the Works Practices Act,The differences between the traditional residential buildings in Boyan town and the official buildings in Qing dynasty in such aspects as decorative theme,decorative style,decorative form and decorative technique were emphatically analyzed.Finally,the differences between the traditional residential buildings in Boyan town and the official practices in Qing dynasty were analyzed.At present,the protection and inheritance of traditional residential buildings in the area of Boyan Town have received great attention from relevant government departments.The research results of this topic are conducive to providing certain references for the repair and protection of traditional residential buildings in the area of Boyan Town.So that this rich historical and cultural heritage can be passed on and carried forward.
